Primary Subject Leader Networks

Programme for 2019-2020

Our Primary Subject Leader Network provides an opportunity for subject leaders to keep up to date with current thinking about the development of their subject and to network, discuss central themes and share good practice.

Led by SLEs from across our Teaching School, this is a great opportunity to reflect on excellence in practice and continue to grow as leaders of learning in our settings.

New to 2019 – 2020: To further develop subject specialism in Primary, our Foundation Subjects Networks (History, Geography, Art and Science) are led by Secondary Specialists so that all leads grow and develop in their subject knowledge and subject specific pedagogy.

Subject Leader Meetings

  • English
  • Early Years
  • Computing

Foundation Subjects

  • History
  • Geography
  • Art
  • Science

Each network team meets 3 times per year – each session is led and designed by an experienced SLE to ensure that current topics, changes in education and school specific needs are met.

These sessions will provide an opportunity for subject leads to explore practical strategies in their subject area that can be implemented back in their faculties. Participants will also reflect upon their effectiveness as subject leads so that they can grow in their current roles.
