George Spencer Academy celebrated another impressive set of A-level and equivalent grades this morning. Half of the grades achieved by our students were either a grade B or higher, with 4 in 5 grades being at a C or above.

Fraser Mitchell, Principal, said “We’re delighted to have so many of our students achieving the highest grades, with half of at a grade B or higher. We wish all of our students the very best of their futures – whether at Oxbridge, university, employment or in apprenticeships or training. I also want to thank the hard work of our staff and who have all played key roles in helping the sixth form achieve these results. We were also thrilled to get amongst some of best ever AS grades, despite all the changes to examinations this year.”

Karen Fawcett, Post 16 Director agreed, “It’s great to see so many smiling faces on results day. It’s the culmination of a lot hard work by them and their teachers and always a special moment seeing them celebrate when you’re Head of Sixth Form”.

This means that students will be able to take up their places at university with confidence.

We wish all the students the very best.
