Outstanding Colour School

    •  "Leaders from partner schools who met with the lead inspector spoke of the critical support they had received in improving their schools. This has included targeted support for a school that had been subject to special measures, and helping another school to move, in a relatively short space of time, from requiring improvement to outstanding. One headteacher stated, ‘We feel we are at the centre of excellence here,’ while another wrote of the Principal’s ‘compassionate desire to improve the quality of education for pupils in Nottinghamshire and the surrounding area."

GSA has a strong and long standing track record of successful school to school support as have a number of our Alliance schools. Our leaders have been members of various EIBs, have seconded leaders across our schools, and provided bespoke training programmes to support PD in both primary and secondary schools.

Within the TSA we have a number of National Leaders of Education and Local Leaders of Education. Many of our Headteachers are Ofsted-trained and actively inspecting. In addition many middle and senior leaders, and ASTs/lead practitioners, regularly support other schools within and beyond our Alliance.

Support may either be formal or informal, short or longer term depending upon need. Alongside other Nottinghamshire TSAs we work closely with Nottinghamshire LA to support schools outside our own Alliance.
